About the team
We form a core part of the Services Adaptavist offers. Our members are spread across the Globe. We’re a blend of Atlassian Service Management Consultants, DevOps and Software Engineers, Agile Coaches, and Work Management Consultants. We offer a variety of Professional Services to clients from different industries.

About the role
Do you want to lead a talented team of service management consultants and help us drive and deliver first-class technical solutions to clients across EMEA? Are you passionate about working with people and solving their problems with technology? Are you an expert on Atlassian tools or an ITSMguru? If so, this role might be the perfect next step in your career journey.
We are looking for a Service Management Practice Team Lead who is hands-on both as a manager and as a Consultant. You’ll have experience working with a service provider similar to ours and be an expert in solving problems related to ITSM/ESM or Atlassian tools. Though you’re primarily a people manager, you’ll also be required to be billable for roughly a third of your time, helping out with pre-sales or jumping on engagements to develop your team.

What you'll be doing

  • Line managing and leading a team of consultants with various levels of skills and seniority working across a variety of client engagements
  • Communicating effectively in a variety of formats with both internal and external audiences to convey status, project findings, updates, and recommendations as needed
  • Supporting pre-sale activities and developing client proposals that align with their requirements
  • Collaborating with our Service Management partners (Atlassian, Device42, GasparAI, and more)
  • Collaborating with internal and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions and providing market insight
  • Supporting and guiding direct reports on performance and career development in line with Adaptavist’s performance and career development frameworks
  • Support operational aspects of team projects, including planning engagements, resource management, and monitoring against progress.
  • Controlling both the quality and schedule with regard to deliverables against the scope
  • Negotiating successfully to resolve individual team and conflicts

What we're looking for

  • Experience delivering Atlassian or ITSM focused technical solutions within a consultancy capacity
  • German speaking language
  • Experience as a line manager to other consultants
  • Instances of how you’ve helped your team achieve their personal goals and clear examples of how you’ve influenced the growth and development of your team
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to think innovatively and creatively
  • Drive and aptitude to manage a broad range of responsibilities
  • An active interest in helping and inspiring colleagues
  • Bonus experience: we’re keeping an eye out for Atlassian, Gitlab, Azure, Gitlab or GCP Accreditations, experience working with an Atlassian Partner, and experience managing remote teams across multiple time zones
