Job Description

Location: Homebased
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Homebased

Our homebased working means you’ll work from home almost all the time and come together on certain occasions during the year to be creative, collaborative and simply connect. Our “Office in a Box” home working kit will provide you with everything you need, no matter where you are.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Be part of our Business UK function, a team that are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity. With our extensive range of products and services, we help all kinds of organisations – from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations – unlocking the potential of new technologies, including 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).

What you’ll do

As a Credit & Collections Account Manager, you'll become the trusted point of contact for collection activities across a portfolio of strategic customers. You’ll take ownership of your ledger, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and help ensure outstanding debts are minimised while maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll play an important role in achieving cash collection targets, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous development.

You will:

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, taking end-to-end ownership of collection activities and aged debt performance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, acting as the primary point of contact for collection-related matters.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly cash collection and aged debt targets while proactively identifying and communicating any risks to delivery.
  • Manage a ledger of 70+ customers with overdue balances of up to £10m, ensuring timely and effective debt recovery.
  • Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to resolve queries, remove barriers, and support successful outcomes.
  • Investigate payment delays, identify process or contractual issues, and work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Provide timely escalations when agreed actions are not being followed by customers or internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse ledger performance and management information to support informed decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Contribute positively to team objectives, share knowledge, and support a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Help foster a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and ways of working.

Who you are

You:

  • Have experience managing large enterprise customers within a credit, collections, finance, or customer-facing commercial environment.
  • Can demonstrate accountability, ownership, and a proactive approach when managing priorities and delivering results.
  • Can work confidently both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Have strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Are comfortable influencing and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Bring excellent written and verbal communication skills and can adapt your style to different audiences.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and can confidently manage challenging conversations while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and are confident using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other business systems.
  • Have experience using management information and data analysis to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt positively to change.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable using your initiative to drive outcomes.
  • Enjoy building networks and collaborating with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Having Membership of the Institute of Credit Management (ICM) would be advantageous.
