ROLE PURPOSE:
The Specialist: Financial Systems is responsible for administering, maintaining and supporting M-Pesa systems. They must assess feasibility, impact & cost, and address all processes/workflow components to assure that all functional specifications and standards are met on the M-Pesa system

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To perform technical requirements in terms of feasibility, impact, cost, integration, & alignment to technology for products requirements and services sustainability, and develop the best technical solution that addresses those business needs
Develop TRPs for m-pesa systems and ensure they are tested in line with approved test schedule
Provide systems capacity management plans and reports that show clearly the resources usage and the growth patterns for near future
Develop a comprehensive up to date technical and logical architecture for all m-pesa systems
Keep an up to date inventory of all m-pesa systems at all times
Fosters relationships with all stakeholders by facilitating forums/technical discussions and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed of key technical developments, as well as gaining context for business drivers and buy-in to facilitate transitions

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
IT Service Management strategies
Databases and server operating systems environment
Mobile Money knowledge

SKILLS:
Strong analytical and problem solving and logical thinking skills;
Excellent team working, interpersonal and facilitation skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in BSc Computer Science (or similar tertiary qualifications)
2 to 5 years systems support and it service management experience
Experience in administration, maintenance, and support of financial systems
Experience in understanding of integration of multiple different systems and APIs
