About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Test Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving quality assurance across complex features and projects, with a strong emphasis on automation, efficiency, and collaboration. The individual will lead testing efforts, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Agile/Scrum environments

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, and cases
  • Lead testing activities for complex features, collaborating with developers and product owners
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test suites across web, mobile, and API layers
  • Conduct performance, regression, functional, and integration testing
  • Analyse and troubleshoot issues, producing detailed defect reports
  • Ensure optimal test coverage through risk-based analysis
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote QA best practices
  • Drive improvements in QA processes and tools
  • Facilitate defect triage meetings and support root cause analysis
  • Write clean, reusable test automation code using OOP principles
  • Maintain robust automation frameworks and review code for quality standards

Who you are

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software testing or QA
  • Minimum 1 year Hands-on with automation tools like Selenium and 6 months for Appium
  • Proficient in English (B2 level or higher)
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools
  • Skilled in Web, Mobile, and API testing
  • Experienced in Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments
  • Proficient with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Postman, REST Assured
  • Programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, or Java
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools (Azure, GitHub Actions)
  • Exposure to Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level)
