About this Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead with extensive expertise in Advanced ABAP and RESTful ABAP, alongside integration and full-stack SAP development capabilities. This role is based in Pune (EON) and focuses on leading end-to-end SAP delivery initiatives, driving solution design, and ensuring strong governance across complex programmes. The individual will play a key role in shaping scalable SAP architectures, enabling automation, and guiding high-performing technical teams.

What you’ll do

Lead SAP ABAP and Advanced ABAP development across RICEFW objects, OO ABAP, CDS Views, RAP, OData, AMDP, workflows, and performance optimisation.Deliver full-stack SAP projects spanning Fiori/UI5, backend ABAP, SAP BTP services, and integration scenarios.Own solution design, proposal development, effort estimation, and VROM/VMC submissions for strategic initiatives.Drive innovation and automation to improve business processes and system efficiency.Guide, mentor, and support a team of approximately 10 technical consultants, ensuring quality delivery and effective collaboration.Represent technical delivery in forums including TDA discussions, ITPM reviews, SPDA/security requirements, and change management processes.Ensure robust governance, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.Act as the primary technical interface for stakeholders, including senior leadership and client-facing engagements.Contribute to hiring, capability development, and continuous learning within the technical team.

Who you are

  • Extensive SAP experience (12+ years) with deep expertise in Advanced ABAP and RESTful ABAP, including OO ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, CDS, RAP, OData, AMDP, and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of ABAP Clean Core principles and modern SAP development practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale SAP implementations and full lifecycle delivery.
  • Exposure to full-stack SAP development, including backend ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, and integrations.
  • Working knowledge of OData services and PI/CPI integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Proven capability in solution design, automation, and delivery estimation.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing delivery governance frameworks such as VROM, VMC, and TDA.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in client-facing environments.
  • Knowledge of ITPM processes, SPDA handling, and change management governance.

Desired

  • Familiarity with modern SAP paradigms such as API-first design, Event Mesh, and event-driven architecture.
  • Hands-on exposure to SAP BTP services including workflows, integrations, and extensions.
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in SAP project delivery.
  • Experience driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups.
