About this Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP & HANA Consultant to join our ERP Application Development team. This role is ideal for a skilled SAP professional with extensive experience in SAP ABAP, ABAP on HANA and end-to-end SAP implementation projects. The successful candidate will contribute to solution design, development, optimisation and automation initiatives while ensuring adherence to clean core principles and SAP development standards. The role requires expertise across modern SAP technologies including CDS, RAP, OData, AMDP, Workflow and performance optimisation.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP solutions using both classical and advanced ABAP techniques.
• Deliver high-quality developments aligned with clean core principles and SAP development standards.
• Participate in automation development projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, develop and support SAP solutions across FICO, SCM and HR modules.
• Analyse and resolve complex technical issues using advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
• Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and support.
• Write efficient, well-structured and maintainable code.
• Perform testing, optimisation and performance tuning of SAP applications.
• Ensure solutions comply with business and technical specifications.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements for architectural review.
• Develop and enhance interfaces, reports, forms and integrations using SAP best practices.

Who you are

• Around 8+ years of SAP implementation and development experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming and ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with:
• Reports (ALV, Classical and Interactive
• Interfaces (ALE, IDOC and Proxy)
• Conversions using BAPI
• Enhancements including User Exits, BADIs, Implicit and Explicit Enhancements
• Forms including Adobe Forms and SmartForms
• Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA technologies, including:
• OData Protocol
• ABAP CDS (Core Data Services)
• AMDP
• Experience with RAP, Workflow and advanced SAP development frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across stakeholders and project teams.
• Commitment to quality, innovation and continuous learning.
