About this Role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation Analyst to design, develop and maintain reliable business intelligence solutions that turn complex commercial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. You will create robust data models, automated pipelines and effective visualisations while ensuring reporting accuracy, documentation quality and dependable refresh performance. The role sits within the AI & Data Service Tower and supports portfolio planning and visualisation requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for commercial, trading and partner-performance stakeholders, including senior-management audiences.
  • Develop, optimise and maintain SQL and BigQuery data transformations, semantic models and data-quality controls that enable accurate and timely reporting.
  • Manage the complete dashboard lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, refresh monitoring, issue resolution and controlled change.
  • Translate business questions into clear measures, visualisations and commentary.
  • Review inconsistent reporting definitions and help establish one trusted view of performance.
  • Maintain clear technical and business documentation and support effective knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to manage access, governance and delivery priorities.
  • Help ensure dashboards and enhancements are delivered according to agreed requirements and schedules.
  • Monitor reporting accuracy, refresh reliability and data-quality issues against agreed service expectations

Who you are

  • You have strong practical experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, dimensional data modelling, security and performance optimisation.
  • You have advanced SQL capability and practical experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Google BigQuery or an equivalent technology.
  • You can validate complex datasets, investigate reporting issues and explain findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are experienced in stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering and business communication.
  • You demonstrate ownership, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and documentation standards.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree, or have equivalent experience, in data analytics, computer science, engineering, information systems or a related discipline.
  • You have at least three years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analysis or reporting development.
  • You have delivered production Power BI solutions and can demonstrate advanced use of DAX, Power Query and dimensional data modelling.
  • You have professional SQL development experience, including complex transformations, query optimisation and data validation.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English, with effective presentation and business-writing skills.
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or Jira, APIs, Python, and telecommunications or business-to-business data is desirable

Not a perfect fit?

Concerned you may not meet every requirement? Vodafone is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. What's in it for you

  • The opportunity to develop business intelligence solutions used to support operational and management decision-making.
  • Exposure to commercial, product, finance, operational, and data and analytics stakeholders.
  • Ownership of end-to-end dashboard delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design through to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience working with cloud data platforms, reporting governance and data-quality controls.
  • Opportunities to improve reporting consistency, automation, usability and stakeholder confidence

What skills you will learn

  • Advanced Power BI solution design and performance optimisation.
  • Practical application of DAX, Power Query and dimensional data modelling.
  • SQL and BigQuery transformation, optimisation and data-validation techniques.
  • End-to-end dashboard lifecycle management.
  • Semantic modelling, reporting governance and access control.
  • Data-quality monitoring and refresh-reliability management.
