About the role

Delivery Performance exists to assure the success of the Digital portfolio by strengthening quality and predictability through clear methodology, outcome measurement, and continuous improvement. It builds organisational memory of effective best‑practice standards, improves and simplifies how teams deliver work, and supports programmes with delivery excellence and independent assurance to give transparent oversight of portfolio health and capacity, and address risks before they become issues.

This role supports the Delivery Performance Planning, Operations, Assurance and Insights team and reports to Delivery Performance Planning and Operations Manager. The role is focused on disciplined execution of the team’s core responsibilities, ensuring that planning, governance, reporting, Quality Assurance (QA) operations and portfolio insight activities are delivered accurately and on time.

The role collaborates with Delivery Excellence, portfolio teams, QA leads, programme and project delivery leads, and other stakeholders to support effective governance, continuous improvement, communications, awards and capability-building activities.

Key focus areas include performance reporting and dashboards, delivery health and risk management, quality assurance, metrics governance, operational planning, stakeholder engagement, and driving the adoption of consistent delivery standards and methodologies across the organisation.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability, stakeholder management skills, and operational discipline with a passion for improving delivery outcomes and enabling high-performing teams.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support execution and maintenance of the Delivery Performance roadmap and related initiatives, defining and tracking milestones, deliverables, outcomes, assurance readiness, actions, cross-unit dependencies and progress against unit goals.
  • Produce and maintain Delivery Performance governance and business reporting for senior and C-suite audiences, including Jira-based dashboards, Power BI reports, HTML-supported dashboard views, portfolio insights, key metrics and management information.
  • Coordinate the Quarterly Bookend Review cycle by gathering inputs, validating data, consolidating portfolio performance, risks, dependencies, decisions and actions, and preparing governance materials.
  • Deliver day-to-day QA operations, including stakeholder mobilisation, onboarding, scheduling, pre-read and review materials, evidence management, recommendation and action tracking, and closure reporting, supporting the Delivery Performance Operations Lead to drive improvements to completion.
  • Analyse portfolio data to identify recurring problem themes, delivery risks and improvement opportunities across the Digital portfolio, and support implementation and tracking of agreed improvement actions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed plans for Delivery Performance initiatives, including milestones, deliverables, outcomes, financial and resource inputs, dependencies and quality measures.
  • Support operation of the Delivery Performance Awards scheme and wider communications activity, including nomination coordination, evidence collation, assessment administration, communications planning and copy, and recognition activities.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, records, action logs, decision logs and management information, ensuring version control, traceability and timely updates.
Coordinate meetings, governance forums, workshops and working sessions across complex, cross-functional projects and portfolios, managing schedules and dependencies, capturing decisions and actions, and following through with owners to completion.
  • Work with metrics and Delivery Excellence teams to improve Jira data quality, reporting consistency, metric definitions and adherence to Delivery Performance ways of working.
