Job description

Job Description:
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and experience specifically in chatbots and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. The ideal candidate will possess solid Python programming skills and a good level of familiarity with the GCP/Vertex AI environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for AI applications, with a focus on chatbots and RAG systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver innovative AI solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for training and deploying machine learning models.
• Evaluate and improve the performance of AI models through rigorous testing and optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, generative AI, and machine learning technologies, especially focusing on how they could improve user experience and performance improvement for the platform
• Document and present findings, methodologies, and results to stakeholders and team members.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Engage in typical support activities such as prompt optimization, testing pipeline performance, modifying the data lifecycle and data ingestion pipelines, managing multilingual behavior of text generation, and conducting root-cause analysis of generated wrong answers.• Conversational AI (nice to have):
a. Experience in designing global conversational flow and depending on local needs, manage their localization from a technical solutioning perspective
b. Familiarity in Conversational AI tools such as IBM Watson, MS Bot, Dialog Flow, and Oracle Digital Assistant – experience with designing gneAI agents in a modern conversational platform (such as MS Copilot and Copilot Studio) will be a huge plus.
c. Familiarity with the following will be considered an advantage: data models of Intents, Utterances and Integration Journeys with external HR systems, ticketing tools such as Remedy and webchat tools such as IPSoft Amelia, Genesys etc.

• Soft Skills:
a. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
b. Patience, proactiveness, willingness to take ownership, and a didactic approach
c. Strong communication skills, ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders• Ways of working:
a. Must understand SAFE Agile and Agile Methodologies and have experience in understanding Jira tool.• Education / Certifications:
a. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from reputed institutions.
b. Any additional professional certifications in AI/ML engineering or Conversational AI will be a plus.
