Job Description

Role Purpose

Vodacom is seeking an experienced and strategic Manager Finance Business Partner- Commercial to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our commercial operations by providing expert financial analysis, strategic advice, and operational support to various departments, including HR, Finance, and the Vodacom Foundation. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Vodacom Foundation to develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets.
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Support the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Identify and analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, providing actionable insights.
• Provide accurate and timely forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance.
• Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost management.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a finance business partner or similar role.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial analysis or business partnering role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
• Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience in working with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
