Job Description

Role purpose

The incumbent will be Responsible for M-Pesa strategy in the Kinshasa region. He will manager and supervise M-Pesa teams and channels in the region to deliver organization objectives. He will lead allocated market in terms of acquisition of new customers, availability of agents’ outlets, availability of E-Money/Cash, POS visibility, products penetration, and quality of services. Will lead all sales & distribution channels in the market to execute commercial activities and initiatives to achieve all allocated KPI’s.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Manage customers acquisition in the allocated market.
  • Strategically Build strong distribution infrastructure including Trade partners and sales teams.
  • Manage Creation of demarcated trade routes and allocated respective channels to service the route.
  • Ensures that M-Pesa brand is visible in the Region.
  • Manage teams Productivity and KPI delivery in the region.
  • Manage Cascading performances targets for supervisors & TDR’s and Trade partners in your market.
  • Plan Mystery shopping, brand audit, agent audits
  • Ensure that all outlets have float/cash availability within the set standards
  • Ensure that agent issues are addressed within SLA
  • Ensure that customer issues in outlets are addressed
  • Ensure that all planned activities are executed by all teams in the region.
  • Regional managers will be accountable for Trade Malpractices in the region.
  • Ensure the management of Trade Developers/Partners.
  • Manage distribution partners/Banks
  • Consistently interacting with external partners and other department within and outside the organization.
  • Control and manage liquidity level on daily basis
  • Ensure the implementation of all promotion in his area
  • Ensure visibility deployment and evaluation
  • Ensure creation and deployment of agents and walkers
  • Ensure regular reports are shared with the management team

  • Bilingual- English (Level 4) and French (Fluent)
  • Ability to work under pressure and stress
  • Multitask and ability to handle complexity
  • Good computer user knowledge skills (Excel, power Bi, PPT, SQL and Word)
  • Good numeracy/analysis skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Proven work experience as a commercial/sales skill.
  • Readiness to work in the Market.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Strong communication skills and capability to manage teams
  • Sales techniques
  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, economics or related degree from a 4-year college
  • Business Development Approach is required.
  • Execution agility in the market
  • Vodacash processes knowledge would be an advantage
  • Data driven decision making

Key performance indicators

  • Revenue generated in your market
  • Number of new Customers (Net Addition) and customer base growth
  • Float level exchange between Agent & super agents
  • M-Pesa penetration in GSM base
  • M-Pesa Product penetration
  • Market share in terms of customers and revenue
  • Share of Visibility and customers NPS in his region
