Role Purpose

The role of the Risk Operation Specialist is to monitor & control the risk of the framework for mobile money/financial services, this includes investigating, analysing and reacting to all type of risks that may face the cash product.

Main responsibility is supporting the growth of VF financial services through protecting VF-EG and its customers against all kind of risks including money laundering, fraud ,data security, and regulatory compliance.

Role Profile

. Risk Assessment and Analysis:

  • Identifying potential, operational risks associated with mobile wallet transactions
  • Analysing transaction data to detect fraudulent, money laundering activities or unusual patterns.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensuring the mobile wallet business complies with financial regulations such as NTRA, CBE & other security agencies requirements.
  • Keeping up to date with evolving financial laws and data protection regulations in various regions and ensuring the company's compliance with them.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Working closely with the legal, VF-AML, Anti-fraud, Cash team (CC), IT teams to identify and manage risks during the development and deployment of new features.
  • Handling all the needed operation roles with internal team for example AML, Fraud, CC, internal cash operation team.
  • Handling the needed external requests from partner bank related to operation requests for AML, Fraud, customer care …etc
  • Handling the NTRA & other complaints that we receive from the cash CC team related to AML controls applied & wallet limited profile applied

Competencies & Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Data analytics.
  • Experience in the financial services or Mobile Money is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical & Communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
