Job Description

Why this job matters

The Financial Reporting Analyst executes the preparation and delivery of financial statements and regulatory reports and analysis used by internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.

What you’ll be doing

1. Supports the delivery of financial reporting through routine processes for all reporting cycles
2. Builds, maintains and distributes compliant data and reports to submit to regulatory authorities and for internal control purposes
3. Extracts and analyses large sets of data using visualization tools, draw insights from data and clearly communicate these with other stakeholders and senior management
4. Builds new reports and models as required by stakeholders
5. Develops and manages databases for efficiency improvement for existing reporting processes and planned capabilities
6. Acts as data steward for the financial data they manage
7. Supports the identification and management of risk through regular assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, raising any concerns as appropriate
8. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within area of responsibility and communicate issues and areas for improvement to business unit/area managers such as through supporting resolution of any data issues impacting productivity or compliance
9. Keeps knowledge up to date on emerging trends and changes in accounting, reporting and financial control principles and practices, sharing with team members
