About this Role
We are seeking a technically skilled and analytically driven individual to support forecasting and capacity planning for the German Fixed Network. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for network architecture, data-driven modelling, and cross-domain collaboration. You will contribute to long-term network evolution, assess capacity impacts, and maintain forecast models aligned with commercial and technical strategies. This is a key position supporting network planning, budget cycles, and strategic initiatives such as Tech2025.
What you will do
- Create and revise technical KPIs with cross-domain teams to monitor resource occupancy, available capacity, utilisation, and evolution over time.
- Prepare accurate fixed network forecasts at least four times per year, ensuring alignment with commercial and technical developments.
- Collaborate with strategy and vertical domain teams to incorporate major projects into NEP/LRP projections, including traffic modelling for new services and architectures.
- Support the preparation of capacity decks twice yearly, identifying dimensioning KPIs and outlining capacity and evolution plans.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support strategic scenarios, validate vendor capacity statements, and guide cross-functional investigations.
- Produce monthly reports tracking traffic and load indicators, ensuring clear insights for NSE and leadership stakeholders.
- Maintain and develop forecasting models and capacity KPIs to support evolving technological and commercial needs.
- Contribute to biannual documentation on network capacity status and investment impacts, using standardised templates.
Who you are
- Strong understanding of Fixed and Network architecture, including domain interactions.
- Knowledge of E2E Network Architecture, including Tech25 (desirable).
- Ability to interpret the impact of commercial propositions on technical configurations.
- Over three years’ experience in network planning or related technical roles.Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field.Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations.Innovative, collaborative, and creative mindset with basic coding or data science knowledge (recommended).
- Proficiency in common office applications.
- High-level English proficiency.
