What you’ll do
The Enterprise Engineering & Solution (EES) department within Network Engineering is responsible for designing and developing enterprise solutions integrated into the Vodafone Network. Within this department, the Enterprise Central Engineering team design and deliver Layer 2 Networks and Connectivity, SDWAN Solutions, Remote Connectivity Solutions, Security on the Cloud. More specifically, as an Enterprise Fixed Services Engineer you will:
• Manage the full lifecycle of projects: feasibility study, development, testing, acceptance, and implementation of network platforms, in all technology areas needed to deliver services to Business Customers
• Interface local market (Sales, VBTS, Product) and performs feasibility assessment of network impact for new service requests
• Apply Feasibility Assessment & Delivery Management processes
• Define the project plan in agreement with all parties involved including the external stakeholders. Defines the detailed project activities and monitors/tracks them permanently
• Permanently tracks projects’ evolution and timely reports project status to all stakeholders
• Implement solid program & project management principles and related PM tools across the organization
Who you are
• University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in IP Networks sector; experience in Enterprise Segment, Access Networks & Telephony will be considered an advantage
• Good understanding of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT
• Advanced knowledge of Access and IP Routing technologies
• Understanding of IP (Fixed and Mobile) telephony
• External certification, e.g. as Cisco CCIE or CCNP, is an advantage
• Understanding of Security considerations and market solutions on the area
• Inter-functional relationships between network elements
• Financial acumen
• PM Certification is considered a plus
• Ability to work within virtual teams and interface with multi-national clients
• Good knowledge of the overall network architecture (all domains)
• Very good knowledge of English
