What you’ll do

The Enterprise Engineering & Solution (EES) department within Network Engineering is responsible for designing and developing enterprise solutions integrated into the Vodafone network. Within this department, the Enterprise Connectivity Service Engineering team designs and delivers connectivity services such as MPLS Layer 3 VPN (Company Net), Internet Access, and B2B WiFi Hotspot solutions

More specifically, as an Enterprise Fixed Services Engineer you will:
• Manage the life cycle and service responsibility for the network infrastructure of our business Wi-Fi solution implemented in the German market.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, including feasibility studies, development, testing, acceptance, and implementation of network platforms, across all technology areas needed to deliver services to business customers.
• Design and implement solutions that include both hardware and software components, ensuring their delivery to the markets.
• Work closely with local market teams (Sales, VBTS, Product) to assess the network impact of new service requests.
• Define project plans in agreement with all involved parties, including external stakeholders. You will outline detailed project activities and continuously monitor and track progress.
• Conduct testing activities, including analysing technical requirements, developing test specifications, executing tests, creating test reports, identifying errors, and troubleshooting or resolving problems for enterprise services.

Who you are

• Hold a university degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the IP Networks sector; experience in the Enterprise Segment and Access Networks is an advantage.
• Possess a good understanding of broader technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of IP Network, Routing technologies and their protocols.
• Experience in solution design as part of engineering tasks.
• Knowledge of Nokia SR is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with WiFi access points and tunnelling protocols
• Understanding of security considerations and market solutions in this area.
• Familiarity with inter-functional relationships between network elements.
• Financial awareness and acumen.
• Project Management certification is considered a plus.
• Ability to work within virtual teams and interface with multinational clients.
• Ability to autonomously identify problems and develop solutions
• Good knowledge of overall network architecture (all domains).
• Very good command of English. German language skills are welcome.
