About this Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Analyst to join our Group Data & Analytics team in Budapest. This role is central to managing demand requests, designing reporting solutions, and ensuring data quality across Vodafone’s business performance and transformation initiatives. The individual will act as a key liaison between customers and technical teams, supporting agile project development and driving data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and a collaborative mindset to deliver impactful reporting solutions.

What you will do

  • Capture and manage demand requests for new reporting solutions.
  • Analyse and propose data sources and models for Group D&A reporting.
  • Perform system analysis and improve usability of web-based applications.
  • Track project lifecycles and ensure timely delivery of functionalities.
  • Identify risks, propose mitigation plans, and resolve issues using problem-solving techniques.
  • Build, test, and present new reporting packs and dashboards.
  • Support project team activities and ensure reporting processes are effective and well-received.

Who you are

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, profiling, and validation.
  • Strong PL/SQL skills, preferably on GCP BigQuery.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (GCP, AWS) and data aggregation tools (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, data mapping applications, and Agile project environments.
  • Skilled in project management tools (MS Projects, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
  • Proactive mindset with curiosity to learn and improve processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic and structured thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advantageous: Knowledge of MS SQL, Python, VBA, telco standards, and PMI/Prince2 or Safe Agile certification.
