About this role

We are seeking a Software Solutions Developer to design, implement, and optimise software solutions that meet client requirements and business needs. This role involves active participation in all stages of IT projects, from requirements gathering and planning to coding, testing, and deployment. You will also contribute to automation initiatives, database optimisation, and technology refresh programmes to enhance service availability and application performance.

What will you do

Participate in all phases of IT projects, including requirements definition, planning, analysis, estimation, and prioritisation.Develop scripts and programs at the database level (PL-SQL, TSQL, Perl, etc.) to support business needs.Define technical requirements, design, configure, and implement solutions involving databases and applications.Optimise existing solutions by redesigning database architectures for improved efficiency and scalability.Provide technical support for transformation projects and technology refresh initiatives.Investigate and resolve critical incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions.Perform proactive maintenance activities using automated tools and alerts (10–15% of time).Evaluate new technologies and applications for adoption in projects (up to 10% of time).Participate in on-call and hotline services, including occasional night shifts, overtime, and stand-by duties as required.

Who you are

Experienced in IT infrastructure administration and office IT systems (hardware and software).Skilled in documentation and problem-solving, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Well-organised, with strong prioritisation and project management capabilities.Able to manage multiple requests effectively and deliver results.Comfortable working in distributed and remote teams, with a customer-focused mindset.Fluent in English (written and spoken).

What skills you will learn

  • Define technical requirements and evaluate IT solutions.
  • Develop scripts and programmes (PL-SQL, TSQL, Perl, etc.) based on business needs.
  • Implement IT applications and platforms in line with role competencies.
  • Automate activities through script development within IT projects.
  • Design, configure, and implement solutions that include databases.
  • Optimise existing solutions by redefining database architectures to improve efficiency or meet new requirements.
  • Provide active support for transformation projects and technology refresh programmes aimed at improving service availability, reducing downtime, and enhancing application performance
