Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer on the Cirrus IoT Platform team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure as code (IaC) using Azure DevOps and Pulumi (TypeScript). You will focus on ensuring the robustness, scalability, and security of our infrastructure, while also managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high system availability and performance by proactively managing the environment and ensuring compliance with security standards.
At Cirrus, we leverage Azure AI and Machine Learning to drive innovation in the smart metering space, enabling real-time decision-making, predictive analytics, and enhanced energy efficiency. By joining our team, you’ll work with the latest Azure AI services to build and scale machine learning models that forecast energy demand, detect anomalies, and optimize grid performance. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning, deploying AI models in a cloud-native environment and contributing to cutting-edge solutions that make a tangible impact in the energy sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to expand your AI/ML expertise while working with leading cloud technologies.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in Pulumi (TypeScript) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in managing security within cloud environments, including patching and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, including working with development teams to ensure operational needs are met
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
