Job Description

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Manager to join our Smart Metering function. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Cirrus IoT platform. This includes handling day-to-day operations, coordinating incident response, and implementing continuous improvements to optimize system performance and reliability.

  • Overseeing the 24/7 operational support for the Cirrus IoT platform.
  • Managing incident response and resolution to minimize downtime and impact.
  • Implementing and maintaining operational procedures and best practices.
  • Supervising system performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with development and product teams to ensure operational requirements are met.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Extensive experience in using Pulumi for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong preference for TypeScript as the scripting language.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in managing and deploying resources through Pulumi.
  • Extensive experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Experience in provisioning and managing PostgreSQL databases in Azure, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with configuring HAProxy for load balancing in a cloud environment.

We'd also love you to bring;

  • Extensive experience in IT operations and infrastructure management, along with Public Cloud management and Dev Ops deliver pipeline methodologies
  • Proven track record of managing and leading operations teams
  • Strong understanding of incident management and response processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
