Job Description

Wholesale Fixed predominately sells connectivity products to intermediaries who then onward resell to the end customer. This remains a growing market where customers are also competitors

A high-profile role with exposure to senior stakeholders from across the wider VMO2 business and the ability to establish relationships and communicate effectively at those levels is integral!

This is a key strategic role partnering with the leadership team across sales, commercial and delivery. This role will be integral to running the end-to-end financial aspects including both Business As Usual and Large Deals.

The remit of this role is commercial in nature with significant involvement in key deals from deal evaluation through to recognition in the P&L, it also covers Budgeting, Planning, Forecasting and Month End as well as Governance, Relationship Management and Business Analysis and Insights

The must haves

In order to be considered, you have the following experience;

  • Qualified accountant – CIMA / ACA / ACCA
  • Demonstrable experience of handling a significant, complex P&L
  • Identifying risks and opportunities through insight and ownership of initiatives
  • Ability to effectively manage a team to improve quality of output
  • Lead long term plan, budget and re-forecasts ensuring that financial targets are challenging but achievable

  • Proven track record in understanding and solving problems by having a strategic approach and the creativity to look at ‘the art of the possible’ and then the capability to drive initiatives to completion
  • An outstanding ability to prioritise a very large workload, provide real commercial insight and work under pressure to deliver to tight timescales.
  • Provide input, challenge and insight into commercial deal propositions to improve deal profitability
  • Able to provide commercial decision support
