Job Description


The purpose of this role is to lead on Security Roadmap and Delivery. This role will have the responsibility to deliver the security strategy consulting multiple stakeholders including but not limited to the Build Team, CIO and CTO. Act as a functional lead for security initiatives, engaging with business analysts, project managers, design & delivery leads to assist in the preparation of presentation material required for governance & investment committees.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities

Security Roadmap & Demand Management
• Security Leadership capability demand
• Security Roadmapping (People, Process, Systems)
• ESA Submissions (Master Application Tooling)
• Support annual financial investment cycle planning (CAPEX / OPEX)

Enterprise PMO
• Project Pipeline 1-3 years out (sharing future demand / roadmaps)
• Project Oversight (status / delivery / spend)
• Attend and support Security Project Steering Boards
• Approver of Security Change Board governance (Vision Card / Business Case)

Security Project Management
• Problem Statement / Requirements Governance (SCB Output)
• PMO Engagement
• PM Project Status Updates
• Sub-Committee
• Investment Committee
• Project Communications (Go-Live Comms)

The must haves

  • Extensive knowledge of Cyber Security best practice and controls, including knowledge of real-world delivery of NIST Framework (or similar framework) controls
  • Deep and wide knowledge of all aspects of security knowledge and good experience of how these are implemented in a real business environment whilst understanding the levels of control a business needs, for the operating environment and risk tolerance it works within
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate, both written and verbal, across all areas of VMO2.
  • Proven ability to organise and plan multiple and complex tasks
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of business.


The other stuff we are looking for

  • Command of data analysis and interpretation
  • Understanding of key information security principles
  • Good knowledge of security regulatory standards like ISO27001, PCI-DSS and the Telecoms Security Requirements
