Job Description

This role is part of the Tesco Mobile team and will be based out of the Tesco Mobile in Manchester! Please note we are flexible with location but you will need to be in the Manchester office at least once a fortnight.

We are looking for an ITSM Change & Deployment Manager to manage and govern regular IT Change delivery across Tesco Mobile and partners, ensuring availability across all Tesco Mobile IT applications and services during and following IT change delivery.

This person will be responsible for governing and coordinating key aspects of IT change and deployment, ensuring early impact assessment, communications to protect BAU IT service function across the TM estate, managing the business-wide IT change deployment schedule, holding CDB’s, overseeing audit activities, ensuring stakeholder engagement and minimising potential for negative impact. The role also has a responsibility to continuously drive and extend the RFC (Request for Change) policy and control across internal and external departments, ensure adherence to IT Change processes through management reporting and governance. In this role you will also be responsible for supporting audit related activity for operational change management.

The must haves In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Experience / understanding of working in an ITSM function, familiar with common ITSM methodologies and IT Infrastructure change management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate IT change delivery and impact across the business
  • A broad understanding of IT Infrastructure platforms, service/system components, IT design & development with good knowledge of data flows
  • Experience with IT support in a corporate environment
  • Independence and confidence with the ability to work alone and in a high pressure environment for long periods

  • Flexible approach to location and hours of operation. To support work outside of core business hours and off-site when required
  • Experience of working with internal business and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with working in Agile delivery teams
  • Knowledge of IT delivery and test strategies /approach
