Why this job matters

The Contract Management Tools Manager owns the responsibility for the delivery of business improvement changes to the contract management tools as well as managing the operational processes to support the contract management community. They are responsible for ensuring the business can deliver the audit responsibilities, as set by Group Risk, in the strategic contract management tooling.

What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for capturing and managing business-led change requirements across Global, CPS, Wholesale and Group specifically for CGR tools.
  • Build positive relationships with all relevant stakeholders to drive a collaborative approach to delivering system changes.
  • Responsible for capturing and managing business-led change requirements across Global, CPS, Wholesale and Group specifically for Contract Management Tools.
  • Delivers contract management quality and process excellence through tools, resources and support impacting commercial excellence and outcomes.
  • Executes commercial initiatives and utilises various tools to support delivery of contract management targets.
  • Leads the monitoring and reporting of contract management metrics across Commercial organisation to measure the effectiveness of the organisation.
  • Leads the implementation and assessment of the effectiveness of contract management processes directly related to tool functionality.
  • Leads the regular risk assessment and diligent execution of controls and mitigations, proactively raising any concerns.
  • Delivers the development, execution and standardisation of contract management improvement strategies in alignment with leadership expectations and business goals.
  • Mentors other professionals in team, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.
  • Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in the commercial environment.
  • Responsible for management of Contract Management Tools budget, ensuring alignment to business financial metrics. Prepares, forecasts and plans annual budgets for the business related to CGR tools.

Experience you would be expected to have

Preferred – understanding of BT’s Contract Governance Reporting processes and the key audit requirements.

Preferred – full understanding of the Contract Management Tools and their role within the end-to-end CGR processes.

Key decisions

The role holder will be a “recommender”, in the RAPID framework, for changes being handled by System Approval Board, to ensure technical capabilities can deliver the required change.
