Job Description

Location: We welcome applications from those looking for hybrid working, based 2 days per week in our Handforth (Cheshire) Office.

Contract: 12 Month FTC

About the Role

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our delivery network runs smoothly, efficiently and delivers a great experience for our customers and stores. As a Carrier Analyst, you’ll use data and insight to monitor performance across our carrier network, helping to make sure our services are reliable, cost-effective and operating at their best.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change. Whether it’s analysing trends, improving processes or strengthening carrier relationships, your work will directly contribute to operational excellence and an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of carrier performance, ensuring service, cost and operational KPIs are consistently achieved
  • Analyse carrier performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Produce regular reports and insights on delivery performance, customer experience and cost efficiency
  • Assist in managing carrier contracts and service agreements, ensuring strong governance and compliance
  • Support onboarding and integration of new delivery partners into the network
  • Contribute to rate reviews, tenders and commercial analysis to drive best value and performance
  • Collaborate with teams across Logistics, Supply Chain, Digital, Customer Care and Stores to deliver improvements
  • Investigate delivery issues and incidents, using data to recommend and implement solutions
  • Support strategic fulfilment and carrier network initiatives to enhance the customer delivery experience
  • Maintain accurate data, dashboards and reporting tools to support informed decision-making

About You

You’re analytical, detail-focused and confident working with data, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to turn insight into meaningful action. You enjoy spotting trends, identifying issues and improving performance, while ensuring accuracy across reporting, invoicing and day-to-day processes.

You bring experience from a supply chain, e-commerce, carrier or retail environment, with a good understanding of operational performance and ideally some exposure to the carrier landscape. You’re just as comfortable managing the detail as you are taking a more strategic view to drive improvements.

Highly organised and proactive, you can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’re also a strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with internal teams and external partners, and confidently share insights and recommendations.

Experience with tools such as Power BI or transport systems would be beneficial, as would knowledge of last-mile delivery or supplier management. You’ll also be happy to travel occasionally to sites such as our Stafford Distribution Centre, with driving being an advantage.

Above all, you’re curious, solutions-focused and motivated to deliver great outcomes for both the business and our customers.

We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you.
