At Pets at Home, we’re on a mission to create the best pet care business in the world, and our supply chain is at the heart of making that happen. We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager who combines technical expertise, operational know-how and a passion for continuous improvement to help us deliver the right products, in the right place, at the right time.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role where you’ll act as the go-to expert for RELEX Forecasting & Replenishment, using your system knowledge and supply chain insight to optimise planning, improve availability and drive smarter decision-making across the business.
You’ll balance hands-on system capability with people leadership, helping colleagues navigate complexity, build capability and continuously improve how we operate.
The role offers hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire (two office days per week) with some travel required to our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning and optimising our RELEX forecasting & replenishment platform, ensuring configuration, parameters and ordering logic deliver strong outcomes
- Monitoring performance, proactively managing risks to availability, stock and service
- Diagnosing root causes and designing scalable, sustainable solutions that improve planning effectiveness
- Supporting and coaching stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear, practical guidance
- Leading and developing a small, high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Commercial, IT and external partners to deliver change
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with RELEX or equivalent forecasting & replenishment systems (advanced user / SME level)
- Solid understanding of supply chain, inventory and replenishment dynamics
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver practical, scalable improvements
- Experience leading or developing others, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
- Confident communicator who can simplify complex topics and influence at all levels
- Naturally curious, improvement-minded and comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex environment
Why Join Us?
- Play a key role in shaping how supply chain works across a leading UK retailer
- Work in a collaborative, people-first culture where your ideas genuinely matter
- Influence outcomes that directly impact availability, efficiency and customer experience
- Be part of a business that’s growing, evolving and always looking to do things better
If you’re technically strong, commercially aware and driven to make things work better, we’d love to hear from you.
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
