What you’ll be doing...

As Network Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for ordering equipment per the design specifications, tracking the orders, and managing the suppliers. You will help specific material for 4G and 5G equipment designs following the meeting maintenance engineering standards. As equipment engineer you will be accountable for creating statements of work for specific engineering projects.

You will be responsible for meeting our regional plan-of-record goals, financial targets and will be accountable for behaving professionally at all times. When a project needs to be completed, you will determine equipment needs and order and integrate a wide range of equipment like antennas, power systems, and fiber optic cable. You’ll work closely with other Network teams such as RF Design, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities and System Performance to implement new technologies and services to meet our network improvement goals.

  • Designing, procuring and managing construction of new cell sites.

  • Aiding in design, procure equipment and manage cell expansions.

  • Determining the equipment needs for new and existing cell sites based on engineering plans and project outlines.

  • Coordinating the ordering and integration process to provide complete equipment sets for projects.

  • Managing supplier relationships to meet targeted network milestones and turn-up dates.

  • Attending project update meetings to present status updates.

  • Following appropriate methods and procedures for equipment tracking and inventory control.

  • Initiating Material Requests for shipment from our centralized warehouse.

  • Tracking of equipment with a focus on expense reduction and just in time ordering.

  • Monitor all equipment expenditures.

  • Oversee equipment installation and acceptance.

  • Review drawings for accuracy.

  • Use Fuze to order equipment.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years or relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Four or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.

  • Knowledge of DC power systems used in the telecommunications environment.

  • Knowledge of cellular network architecture.

  • Knowledge of Ericsson base station equipment, CATS/FULCRUM, MapInfo, FUZE, PURCH and PeopleSoft.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $134,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
