What you’ll be doing...

As a developer in the UX mobile development team, you will be building UX features and value added services for the Verizon Home app. These are enriched with the complete SDLC process, while working with various stakeholders like business PoCs, Device Technology engineers, Maintenance Engineer quality engineers and Solution Architects.

  • Working with a team of engineers, partners like QA, SME and Architect for Home app deliverables.

  • Design and build applications for Android platform

  • Ensure performance and quality of the application

  • Collaborate with team and develop the apps

  • Follow Agile process for software development

  • Implement updates and optimize apps.

What we’re looking for...
You enjoy working on software development for building mobile applications with rich user experience. You are a great teammate and have a go-getter kind of attitude with good interpersonal skills. You stay focused and enjoy the challenge that comes with this role and are able to manage work effectively in a dynamic, complex and deadline-oriented environment.
You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of work experience.

  • Highly proficient in Kotlin programming

  • Strong knowledge on data structure

  • UI and UX design experience for phones and tablets

  • Experience in REST APIs and data handling

  • Experience to debug and troubleshoot issues in the application

  • Familiar with Android design principles, Jetpack libraries and best practices for Android development

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge of Matter, Gen AI, Chatbots

  • Experience in AI programming tools like Copilot

  • Knowledge on Home domain with key areas like Smart Home, Digital security and wellbeing
