Experience
- Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application stability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best engineering practices.
- Lead architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
- Stay up to date with new Android technologies, libraries, and best practices.
- Implement robust unit tests and UI tests to ensure reliable releases.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including planning, estimation, and release management.
- Demonstrate strong architectural-level experience, making informed decisions about patterns, modularisation, scalability, and long-term maintainability.Evaluate and work with multiple app architecture approaches (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, multi-module setups) and select the right approach for the product’s needs.
- Quickly understand and navigate existing codebases, identifying the architectural patterns used and the rationale behind them.
- Summarise and communicate the current state of the codebase, including what’s working well, potential technical risks, and areas for improvement.Propose and lead architectural improvements, aligning with engineering best practices and business goals.
