Vattenfall has made a strong commitment to make fossil-future and in order to deliver on this we are now looking to strengthen our corporate environmental team within Vattenfall’s strategic function. We are an open and engaged group working in an exciting international environment.

We are looking for a passionate Environmental Analyst with focus on transparency and disclosures who will be a part of advancing our corporate environmental disclosures.

About Strategic Development
Strategic Development drives the corporate strategy development and capital allocation. With the strategy as base, we facilitate development of asset strategies and new business models in close collaboration with the Business Areas, that make the strategy real. R&D is a key enabler in our work with business development. Furthermore, we drive the sustainability and environment management and are responsible for ensuring that Vattenfall is constantly improving in these areas – and that sustainability is an integrated part of our corporate strategy

What will you do?
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in an international setting within a company that places sustainability at the heart of its strategy. You will play a pivotal role in securing that our journey is transparent and data driven. The environmental performance team is an international team that is part of the strategic development function at Vattenfall responsible for all environmental data flows on group level. The team also does strategic assessments often together with different business areas or other corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop into Vattenfall’s expert on environmental disclosure frameworks and secure compliance with key mandatory and voluntary standards
  • Lead and develop our internal practices linked to eligibility and alignment linked to EU Taxonomy
  • Contribute to the development of internal reporting structures, quality controls and systems
  • Lead projects and align with diverse stakeholders to secure transparent and accurate reporting
  • Contribute to Vattenfall’s external environmental disclosures (E.g. CSRD, CDP and other)
  • Stay abreast of new environmental regulations and standards linked to transparency and disclosures


Location
Amsterdam, Stockholm and Berlin.

Qualifications

Who are you?
As our Environmental Analyst you'll be ambitious, curious and high aspirations to make an impact. And to be successful in that we would like you to have:

  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Have a good sense of structure
  • Are reliable connecting with others via honesty and integrity
  • Enjoy collaboration and jointly seeking solutions
  • Be a clear and relaxed communicator
  • Master's degree in Environment/Ecology, Finance, Natural Science, Engineering Discipline, or a related field
  • Knowledge of environmental disclosures according to ESRS E1-E5, GRI, TCFD, EU-Taxonomy, GHG-protocol
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Prior experience in setting up and running both disclosures and reporting processes in an European environment, preferably within a multinational company or consultancy
  • Proficiency in Swedish, Dutch or German is advantageous
