Job Purpose
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of projects. To ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage full-scale project plans using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Estimate costs for each task and phase of the project and understand how these costs fit into the overall project budget.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a project following established rules, guidelines, and procedures.
- Monitor the progress of each task and phase to ensure successful completion within predetermined deadlines.
- Track the progress of projects against agreed timelines and budgets; take corrective action wherever necessary.
- Identify and mitigate risks and manage constraints and dependencies.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project plans.
- Build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
- Communicate project progress regularly to clients and stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, set clear goals, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration among team members to ensure the success of projects.
- Prepare reports for management regarding the status of the project.
- Identify, address, and resolve project-related issues and conflicts that may arise during the project's course.
- Manage project change control processes and documentation.
- Support post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions.
- Drive benefits delivery by ensuring realisation plans are tracked and translated into measurable outcomes.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge and application of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Budgeting and resource allocation skills.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Planview, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet).
- Working knowledge of project governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
