Your mission
As our Data Performance Analyst (CCI), you’ll manage, analyse and optimise data quality across CEC systems, ensuring information is accurate, consistent and aligned to the corporate data management framework. You’ll deliver high‑quality MI, dashboards and analytical products that integrate data from multiple sources, providing the Heads of CCI with the insight they need to forecast delivery, manage risk and drive performance improvement.
You’ll play a key role in embedding data governance, improving data quality and ensuring our reporting is reliable, repeatable and decision‑ready.
You’ll be doing things like
- Operating within the CEC data strategy, applying technical tools and processes to support the CCI business model.
- Developing, maintaining and applying data quality rules with data owners and stewards.
- Profiling, analysing and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies and data quality issues.
- Designing, building and maintaining dashboards, reports and MI to meet CCI and wider business needs.
- Providing accurate, timely and forward‑looking MI to the Heads of CCI to assess programme adherence and forecast regulatory delivery.
- Developing predictive and trend‑based analysis to identify risks, performance gaps and emerging issues.
- Translating complex data into clear, decision‑ready insight for strategic and operational decision‑
- Using reporting and visualisation tools to present data clearly and effectively.
- Managing and processing high volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple systems.
- Identifying, prioritising and resolving data quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Engaging stakeholders to agree mitigation plans, timelines and resolution activities.
- Embedding data governance and quality processes within project delivery and operational activities.
- Championing data quality standards and ensuring adherence across systems and processes.
- Maintaining and updating data libraries, ensuring alignment with information models and traceability.
- Supporting governance forums with accurate, timely and relevant reporting outputs.
- Providing data quality, reporting and analytical advice for both project and BAU activities.
What we’re looking for
- Strong data analysis capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insight.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI (or equivalent).
- Proven ability to manage and integrate data from multiple sources and formats.
- High competence in data quality tools, techniques and frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience in data governance, data management and information modelling.
- Ability to create and maintain data dictionaries with clear lineage and auditability.
- Experience managing change controls for data and information models.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including root cause analysis and resolution planning.
- Ability to manage high workloads, prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
- Experience working in complex organisational environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
