Job Description

Hybrid | Warrington | Salary - £46,359 + Exceptional Benefits

Ready to play a critical role in safeguarding the accuracy, integrity and reliability of United Utilities’ asset base? As we continue to modernise and strengthen our asset management capability, we’re looking for a detail‑driven specialist who can ensure every asset is registered, validated and maintained to the highest standards throughout its lifecycle.

This is your opportunity to step into a role where your expertise directly supports operational performance, regulatory compliance and the successful delivery of capital projects across the region.

Your mission

As our ARDR Specialist, you’ll ensure assets are registered, updated and de‑registered accurately and on time, maintaining a complete and compliant asset record aligned to the Asset Data Hierarchy. You’ll support early registration, validate ADH codes, ensure compliant tagging and P&IDs, and maintain high‑quality data across UU’s ARDR/SAP systems.

You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, delivery partners and regulatory teams to ensure asset data is accurate, consistent and ready to support safe operation, system integration and effective decision‑making.

You’ll be doing things like

  • Managing early asset registration through draft, final and post‑final submissions in line with ATO and project handover requirements.
  • Validating ADH codes to enable project progression for telemetry, URS and system integration.
  • Ensuring correct tagging and compliant P&IDs to support early registration.
  • Accessing and accurately entering data into UU’s bulk ARDR/SAP systems.
  • Conducting field surveys and inspections to identify, document and collect data on assets including pipelines, WwTW, reservoirs and pumping stations.
  • Recording asset information such as location, condition, specifications, installation dates and maintenance history using specialist software.
  • Ensuring asset registration processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
  • Representing United Utilities at cross‑functional meetings with contractors and business leads to ensure timely and accurate asset registration.
  • Coordinating the deregistration of assets at end‑of‑life, ensuring records and documentation are updated.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations and regulatory teams to align asset management activities with best practice.
  • Conducting regular audits and quality checks to verify data accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Implementing corrective actions to address discrepancies or data errors.
  • Staying up to date with emerging technologies, trends and best practices to support continuous improvement of ARDR processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ideally educated to Degree/HND level or with suitable industry experience.
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Good technical knowledge of United Utilities assets and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage finite resources to meet business objectives.
  • Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment/network processes, standards and procedures.

What you’ll get

A competitive package that recognises your expertise, including:

  • 26–30 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Up to 14% employer pension contribution
  • Up to 7.5% bonus
  • Healthcare, wellbeing benefits, discounts and more

If you’re ready to ensure our asset data is accurate, compliant and ready to support safe, efficient operations across the North West, we’d love to welcome your expertise to United Utilities.
