About the Role
We're looking for an ambitious and passionate D-MeX Lead to join our Homeowner & Builders team within Developer Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing technical team at the heart of our Developer Services operation, driving exceptional customer outcomes, regulatory performance, and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in enhancing the customer journey for developers, homeowners, and key stakeholders while influencing D-MeX performance and business success.
What You'll Be Doing
- Day to day management of a Technical Team and be a Quality Assurance Coach to deliver business critical activities, through performance management, quality assurance and technical development.
- Working closely with field-based staff to ensure seamless transfer of information from office to field resource, providing technical drawings and specifications to our Inspectors and Construction Engineers, liaising with all relevant parties until new connection has taken place and the water meter installed.
- To ensure timely submission of monthly D-MeX data for Developer Service’s and Metering (DS&M) and coordinate to the subsequent D-MeX survey period.
- Stakeholder management with external and internal parties to provide services and give and receive feedback on how these may be improved such as UU Contract Partners, Water Network, Access and Acquisitions, Streetworks, Service Recovery and Water Connections Payment Team.
- Support a number of business plans and initiatives, working with project managers where appropriate and the Operation to ensure the business understands fully the resource impact of the initiatives.
- Play a central role in driving performance, develop a strong technical understanding within the team to deliver improved continuous improvement.
- Lead daily/weekly jeopardy management meetings/team huddles with manager/contractors.
- Manage and mitigate D-MeX quant risk of failure working closely with the Customer Area Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading or supervising a technical or operational team within a customer-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of the water industry, particularly Developer Services, new developments, and D-MeX.
- Knowledge of industry regulation and performance measures.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage colleagues, managers, contractors, and external partners.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
