Integrated Maintenance, Repair, and Development Services (IMRDS) is an integral part of our team focused on maintaining and improving water recycling infrastructure. We deliver critical projects such as flooding protection, gravity sewers, and rising main relays, with a focus on large, complex initiatives.

What Will You Be Doing as an IMR Leakage Team Leader?
As an IMR Leakage Team Leader, you will support the Area Manager and Leakage Delivery Support Manager with the day-to-day management of Assistant Leakage Technicians and Leakage Technicians. You will provide on-site leadership, coaching, and technical guidance, ensuring safe working practices, high-quality performance, and excellent customer service across leakage operations.
You will play a key role in developing team capability, supporting performance targets, and ensuring compliance with operational procedures and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support, coach, and develop Assistant Leakage Technicians and Leakage Technicians through training, mentoring, and competency assessments
• Lead by example in promoting behavioural safety and ensuring compliance with Anglian Water health and safety policies and procedures
• Provide on-site support in higher hazard environments, including dual-person working where required
• Ensure compliance with NRSWA requirements and safe site management practices for highway working
• Conduct regular quality checks, audits, and equipment inspections to ensure operational standards are maintained
• Support deployment and collection of acoustic monitoring devices and provide technical troubleshooting expertise
• Ensure all paperwork, surveys, and administrative activities are completed accurately and on time
• Respond to customer enquiries, managing expectations and delivering excellent customer service
• Monitor, communicate, and support delivery of team KPI targets and operational performance requirements
• Attend performance reviews and contribute to identifying trends and continuous improvement opportunities
• Complete repair surveys and assess traffic management requirements for leakage repair activities
• Liaise with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate successful leak repair delivery
• Undertake basic CDM assessments and support safe repair strategies
What Attributes Are Required?
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach and develop field-based teams
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe systems of work
• Strong understanding of leakage operations, performance metrics, and operational excellence
• Ability to make decisions and provide effective on-site technical support
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
A Little Bit About Your Skills, Experience, and Behaviours…
• Experience supervising or leading operational field teams within utilities, water, highways, or a similar environment
• Knowledge of leakage detection, repair processes, and operational delivery activities
• Experience conducting audits, quality checks, and competency assessments
• Familiarity with NRSWA requirements and highway working practices
• Competent in using handheld devices, mobile applications, and data collection systems
• Proven ability to drive performance and support teams in achieving operational targets
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement and developing team capability
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including walking, manual handling, and lifting operational equipment
