Job Description


As a key member of our Airline Operations leadership team, you'll spearhead the strategic development and delivery of operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives across TUI Airline's global operations. You'll be at the forefront of our Operational Excellence programme, driving data-led decision-making, digital enablement, and fostering collaboration between operational and customer excellence functions to enhance our service delivery and operational resilience.

You'll lead the team responsible for embedding operational and customer excellence, ensuring alignment with TUI Airline strategy and own the reporting and analysis of disruption-related costs, ensuring operational excellence is embedded in both strategic transformation and daily delivery.

We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model basis, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at our Luton office.

ABOUT THE JOB


  • Lead and develop the Strategy & Excellence team providing coaching, performance management and creating succession planning opportunities
  • Manage the Operational Excellence programme delivery across TUI Airline, ensuring our operational strategy evolves to meet customer and market needs
  • Take ownership of KPIs, dashboards, and frameworks to support data-led decision-making, tracking and reporting on operational and customer experience improvements to include the tracking of disruption spend
  • Drive improvement initiatives and benchmark performance to identify best practices
  • Facilitate post-event debriefs and embed lessons learned to continuously improve our operational resilience across the airline
  • Ensure compliance and align initiatives with sustainability goals via the Senior Operations Excellence Specialist
  • Set the customer experience strategy for disruption management in partnership with the Senior Customer Excellence Specialist
  • Partner with our Technology teams to enhance reporting capabilities and drive automation of performance data for improved operational visibility
  • Drive change and project delivery, ensuring benefit tracking and ROI evaluation while influencing decisions at senior leadership forums
  • Propose future strategies to senior stakeholders & influence cross functionally, leading internal communications

ABOUT YOU

  • Comprehensive understanding of airline operations including digital tools and systems and performance management frameworks
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement and transformation initiatives within complex operational environments
  • Skilled at developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance frameworks that drive meaningful business insights
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities allow you to identify opportunities and solve complex operational challenges
  • Experience working in cross-market or multi-national operations, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
    Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • An effective communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and influence strategic decisions
