Contract Type: Fixed Term (8 Months)

Product & Purchasing are on a significant and exciting transformational journey, with a key strategic objective to drive process quality and operational excellence through employee driven continuous process improvement internationally across 25 countries.

The role holder will be working on a operational simplification programme across multiple international teams with c.10 systems and +150 processes and will be responsible for leading or supporting transformation and process improvement initiatives or providing consulting support for change. The focus is on identifying and delivering measurable benefits through optimised business design and processes.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You will lead or support process re-engineering and design seeking opportunities for P&P team collaboration, engaging with stakeholders and SMEs from beginning through completion across various working groups to deliver and sustain improvements made.

  • You will ensure business requirements are established, risks & controls are documented ensuring individual improvement project implementation plans are integrated into the wider Transformation Plan and projected business benefits are tracked and managed

  • You will utilise your suite of process improvement tools (Lean principles, change management skills, VSM, 5S etc) to embed Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence across the business, with the overall aim of optimising business processes, improving customer experience & increasing operational performance.

  • As a key part of the Product & Purchasing Transformation Team, you will assist in Lean tools and techniques training design and delivery to achieve a functional behavioural and mindset change promoting a culture of continuous improvement and end-to-end thinking to ensure successful programme implementation.

  • Actively maintain awareness of latest thinking in improvement approaches, operational excellence and industry best practices. Review and factor into Transformation & Change programmes or recommend to Process/Business Owners for utilisation in area improvements where relevant.

  • You will support the Process Ownership framework implementation by championing end-to-end process thinking, encouraging and nurturing a cultural environment where employees work collaboratively across departmental and business area boundaries.

  • You will be responsible for coaching and developing the Continuous improvement approach, tools and techniques across the function at white and yellow belt levels

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong experience of the application of Lean principles and thinking – Lean Green Belt or above qualification preferable.

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and building strong business and team relationships across all TUI markets

  • Strong customer & commercial acumen and value focus, able to show the measurable value of process activity

  • Team player with the ability to challenge and effectively lead, coach, train and support others

  • Proven experience of remote and in person facilitation, need to feel comfortable challenging current practices

  • Analytical mind-set with an appreciation of the importance of data-driven decision making

  • Articulate. Engaging and inspiring communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages advantageous

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Power Automate, Viso and Miro

  • Has a passion for exploring new forward-thinking trends

  • Experience of working within the travel industry would be desirable.
