Job Description

This Marketing Buyer role supports marketing procurement in the Indirects Group Procurement team. The Marketing category look after all channels of marketing from traditional print, paper, point of sale, through to digital, search, creative, social and beyond. The marketing category spend is one of the largest spend categories in Indirects, and as such provides significant opportunities for savings and efficiencies to unlock value.

The marketing strategy is currently focused on our brand evolution, the re-start of operations and our digital transformation project, making it an exciting time to join the team to assist with centralisation and consolidation of suppliers such as Media, Creative and Digital.

This role can be based in either our Luton, Hannover or Rijswijk office. Closing date for applications will be the 23rd October.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • As a Marketing Category Buyer you will be procuring goods, materials and services to ensure that TUI’s marketing and related operational needs are met, taking into account efficiencies, price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply, whilst mitigating any potential risks.
  • Procurement of marketing materials, licences, subscriptions and services in line with specified requirements, budgets, KPIs, quality and timescales. Support the Marketing Category and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may have an impact on business operations.
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and marketing stakeholders on purchasing processes and policies.
  • Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to TUI.
  • Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction and Group wide consolidation activities
  • Work closely with others in the Group Procurement function, including our analysts, and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business efficiencies.
  • Familiarise yourself with our sustainability and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
  • Ensure that a professional, ethical and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.

ABOUT YOU

  • Sourcing – A good understanding in the fundamentals of sourcing and the sourcing process.
  • Stakeholder Management – Confident in identifying, analysing, mapping, engaging and aligning stakeholder requirements.
  • Cost Management – Ability to conduct economic and financial analysis to ensure models provide insight into make or buy decisions.
  • Negotiation – Comfortable with negotiating and the process of awarding suppliers
  • Corporate Social Responsibility – Experienced in the identification, consultation and delivery of Ethical & Sustainable Sourcing methods.
  • Teamwork – Positive attitude contributing to and generating an inclusive and collaborative culture which supports teamwork and encourages a high performing environment.
  • Policy, Reporting and Compliance Management – Working knowledge of compliance to policies, procedures, controls, and processes.
