Hotel HR Manager

Job Description

Join TUI Hotels & Resorts as Human Resources Manager and support all HR topics within the hotel. As HR Manager you are responsible for providing first-class employee relations services to the hotel to deliver an excellent staff experience.

This role is located at our TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar therefore a local resident is required. To apply you must have understanding of the local labour law of Tanzania.

ABOUT OUR OFFER

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and followed throughout the hotel and deal with official authorities, labour, and immigration among others.
  • Monitor employee working and attendance schedules including paid time, holidays, and overtime.
  • Support the onboarding of new colleagues and ongoing trainings and development of all colleagues in conjunction with TUI HR processes.
  • Develop hiring plans for each hotel department on a seasonal necessity.
  • Review job descriptions for clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinaries, grievances, and capability.
  • Support head of department managers with local hotel recruitment, ensure candidate selection process is adhered to and appropriate background checks are carried out. You will be the main point of contact for the central TUI Talent Acquisition team.
  • Support the hotel with departmental training requirements.
  • Control costs when possible and assist in meeting hotel/departmental financial targets.
  • Work with local organizations and schools to promote the hospitality industry.
  • Manage and motivate the whole hotel team and foster a one team ethos. You will also show strong leadership skills and passion for the brand, guests, and hotel overall.

ABOUT YOU

  • Familiar with labour laws of Tanzania and Zanzibar
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Kishwahili is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a HR Manager or similar role, preferably in within the hospitality industry.
  • An agile individual, with a global mindset and the ability to work within a fast-paced hotel environment
  • Confident with MS Office and HRIS systems and numerical skillset.
  • Able to engage with stakeholders and various authorities
  • Cultural intelligence with a passion for diversity, fostering our ‘Come As You Are’ culture.
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player.
