Reporting to the TGBS Director of Operations, the Global Process Owner P2P is a key member of the TGBS leadership team, with responsibility for the overall delivery of an efficient, world class purchase to pay service on behalf of TUI Group’s internal customers. As the Global Process Owner for TUI Group’s P2P process, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence in TUI’s supplier payment processes, leading the implementation of innovative and future looking process design by incorporating emerging technology to achieve aligned and highly automated P2P processes, whilst collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to support TUI’s financial objectives.

With a multi-billion Euro throughput of annual invoice payments, this role is instrumental in ensuring that TUI’s global supplier base is paid accurately and at the right time, thereby enabling TUI to continue to deliver the very best holidays for its guests.

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Lead a team of almost 150 finance professionals, based across multiple locations, with responsibility for the delivery of an efficient, world class Accounts Payable service on behalf of TUI Group’s Tour Operators, Airlines, Destination and Corporate companies.
  • Implement and oversee the operation of a robust and appropriate set of internal financial controls which ensure that all supplier liabilities are paid correctly and at the right time. Be responsible for monitoring the performance of the P2P process through regular KPI reporting.
  • Take the lead in overseeing the relationship with internal and external outsource partners who support the delivery of P2P processes.
  • As Global Process Owner for TUI Group’s P2P process, lead the agenda to standardize, align and automate P2P processes across the supplier base, taking advantage of new and emerging technology where possible.
  • Proactively participate in TUI’s business transformation agenda by optimizing the P2P organizational structure in line with the TGBS strategy, whilst also representing P2P in business transformation projects to ensure that process requirements are captured and delivered.
  • As a key business partner, manage internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal customers and external suppliers to ensure their needs are understood and addressed effectively.
  • Foster a culture of process excellence within the team which encourages the continuous identification of process improvement initiatives and creates an environment where incremental process improvements can be quickly and easily implemented.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experienced financial professional with several years of experience in Finance leadership roles in a multinational environment. Previous P2P leadership experience in an international context would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams who operate in multiple locations and with the capacity to engage stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and across business units.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, harnessing new technologies and implementing best practices in P2P processes. Self-motivated leader with a high level of ownership for results.
  • Strong understanding of global finance operations, compliance, and risk management with strong analytical skills combined with a willingness to solve problems and propose solutions.
  • Business fluent German and English language skills; willingness to undertake regular international travel
