Design Operations Manager
/10
Job Description
This role sits within Digital Design of our Sales Solution Division and reports into the DesignOps Lead.
While other members of the DesignOps team focus on our design system, this role owns the operational side of design operations — the processes, tools, governance, and culture that enable our Product Design team to work effectively and consistently across TUI's digital sales channels.
ABOUT THE JOB
- You'll establish and maintain the ways of working, rituals, and practices that support a healthy, high-performing design culture — including onboarding, enablement, and team development.
- Building and embedding governance for design quality, consistency, and accessibility across our digital channels will be central to your role.
- You'll own the design tooling landscape — configuring, optimising, and making strategic recommendations about the tools our designers rely on.
- We'll rely on you to design and improve workflows that remove friction and ensure work moves smoothly between design, product, and engineering.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, knowledge bases, and training resources will ensure best practices and design decisions are captured and accessible.
- You'll track operational health and the impact of your initiatives through metrics and reporting.
ABOUT YOU
- You bring experience in design operations, design programme management, or senior design roles where you've shaped how a team works, not just what it produces.
- Quality and governance come naturally to you — you understand accessibility standards and have experience building quality assurance approaches that stick.
- You're proficient in Figma and the broader design tool ecosystem, with the confidence to make strategic recommendations about tooling.
- You understand how design connects to product and engineering, and can design workflows that work across disciplines.
- You create training materials, documentation, and resources that genuinely help people work more effectively.
ABOUT OUR OFFER
- Personal benefits: Attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health & well-being support, and more.
- Flexible working: Work is something you do, not somewhere you go. We encourage a healthy work-life balance with a dynamic working environment.
- A career to shape: Access the TUI Learning Hub to level-up and reach your ambitions.
- Broaden your network: We champion intercultural collaboration and provide opportunities to work on global projects and teams
- Community: Get involved with incredible local charity and sustainability initiatives like the TUI Care Foundation.
From a workplace to a place to belong. At TUI we embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging everyone to come as you are, because together, our potential is limitless.
We are committed to supporting candidates with disabilities and impairments so if you require any support, please do let us know.
