WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE

Love turning things on their head? Coming up with the unexpected and challenging yourself and others to go bigger and think differently? As a Senior Art Director, you’ll be part of a team that pushes boundaries, is obsessed with ideas, and champions out-of-the-box thinking within the Fintech space. Working seamlessly as part of a passionate, multi-disciplinary group, you'll have the opportunity to produce head-turning work that drives consumer engagement and builds emotional connections in a category ripe for innovation.

You are someone who inspires those around you to deliver attention-grabbing digital engagements and brand experiences. You believe in the power of a visual story and are eager to translate complex financial concepts into compelling, human-focused designs. As a risk-taker and a passionate visual storyteller, you aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo or share bold ideas that redefine what is possible in the financial sector.

DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER…

In this lead role at tms, you will be responsible for delivering work that breaks through the clutter of the mundane. You love all stages of the creative process—everything from ideating big concepts and building layouts to crafting concept decks that dazzle people while defining a brand. Presenting to clients is your jam, and you excel at bringing ideas to life in ways that are strategically grounded and innovative.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, driving the ideation and execution of creative platforms for one of the world’s largest Fintech organizations. You will supervise and craft engaging digital experiences, confidently speaking to and coaching both internal teams and our clients on best-in-class design. You are fearless, imaginative, and ready to push the boundaries of strategic storytelling to build stronger human connections through financial products.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

Creative Execution & Visual Innovation

  • Drive the ideation and execution of breakthrough creative platforms, ensuring all work is strategically driven, thought-provoking, and compelling—not just "pretty."
  • Build and develop brand guidelines that define the visual look and feel of the brand and its products across various digital channels and applications.
  • Craft stellar design work while maintaining a critical attention to detail (down to the pixel) without ever losing sight of the big-picture brand vision.
  • Stay current with design trends and evolving technology, proactively identifying design capabilities and opportunities that should be adopted within the team.

Strategic Collaboration & Presentation

  • Partner closely with the Strategy and Account team in making sure the work is strategically grounded — not just cool.
  • Confidently present fresh perspectives and big-idea thinking to clients, taking them on a visual journey that sells through the creative vision.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape within banking and finance to inform insightful and differentiated brand engagements.

Leadership & Digital Craft

  • Supervise and craft best-in-class digital experiences, serving as a subject matter expert on design thinking and user experience.
  • Mentor and inspire those around you, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and "head-turning" creativity.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and client demands at once, maintaining high organizational standards in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • 4+ years of proven art direction and design experience in an agency or brand space.
  • A background in the Fintech, banking, or financial space is a huge plus, particularly experience launching or managing financial products.
  • Expert proficiency and hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Figma and/or Sketch.
  • A strong portfolio with recent examples of conceptual thinking, flawless execution, and a wide range of creative design.
  • Expertise in design fundamentals, including typography, color, layout design, hierarchy, and user experience (motion graphics is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire others and sell a vision that challenges the "status quo."
  • Experience developing storyboards for digital and online video, with an understanding of how to bring narrative concepts to life visually.
  • Ability to direct and oversee video production and comfortability directing video or photoshoots.

Starting salary between $93,000-$98,000
