As part of the McDonald’s International team, we work across multiple markets including the U.K., Republic of Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, delivering customer engagement experiences for millions of McDonald’s customers every day.

Our scope of work is incredibly varied and is focused on Digital & Game promotions across these international markets to deliver annual campaigns such as the Monopoly game promotion. As our remit expands, we are now also working for McDonald’s Switzerland and looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic International team.

We act as an extension to McDonald’s Marketing team and work in an integrated fashion with our partner agencies to lead all Digital & Games activities. We take great pride in delivering engaging and high performing campaigns year after year. This role is responsible for the day to day management of the Monopoly project & any other digital (in-app) tactical promotions that arise.

As the Senior Account Manager for the tms Switzerland team, you will be responsible for leading the Client and local agencies in Switzerland to deliver the Monopoly promotion and should be comfortable leading the Client and internal tms teams from the get go.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE AGENCY

You’ll currently be a strong experienced Senior Account Manager in an integrated / digital / promotional agency environment with a passion for FMCG and retail sectors.

You will have excellent attention to detail, remain calm under pressure and have excellent upwards and downwards management skills along with communication and organisational skills day to day internally and externally.

You will be given direction, support and on the job training from your Group Account Director as well as work alongside a team at tms that deliver specialist areas – helping you to learn & grow, whilst delivering projects together.

Your role will specifically involve delivery across:

  • Project & Client management (meetings, budgets, timelines, reports, presentations etc)
  • Project planning to deliver the Monopoly promotion
  • Working alongside colleagues to negotiate with Partners to deliver the prizes for the promotion and managing the partner relationship
  • Managing creative teams to deliver the game concept, Key Vis ID & any supporting promotional elements to the local Swiss agencies
  • Working with the tms Game Operations team to manage the prize pool and ensure project is delivered in accordance with our Security protocols
  • Liaising with McDonald’s legal dept and their external legal consultants to draft & complete all the legal documents required for the promotion
  • Management of the local Handling House responsible for the winner comms & fulfilment of prizes
  • Supporting Digital Operations team (based in London) to deliver (when required) the in app game play
  • Monthly Finance management
  • Preparation of Weekly Performance Reports and Post Campaign Analysis

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Ideal Competencies

  • Dual Language – given this role is for the Swiss market, ideal candidate would be a native French and / or German speaker and fluent in English –to be able to conduct all meetings and prepare documents for Clients and local agencies & partners primarily in English but also when required in French / German.

Client & Partner Relations

  • Develop strong relationships with relevant levels of the Marketing & wider Client team, be seen as trusted partner, demonstrating expertise in your respective area, a solution-orientated nature and renowned for delivering best in class work.
  • Manage client's expectations around all areas of projects: timings, budgets, resources, change requests
  • Build strong relationships with all associated third parties (e.g. Prize Partners, Legal Consultants, Handling House, Merchandise companies, etc), addressing any issues professionally.
  • Work with other local agency partners, showcasing expertise in your respective area both on strategic and creative level. Lead the team in this area demonstrating a collaborative and mature approach to ensure the best output for the client

Strategic Direction

  • Support the GAD, Planners, other partner agencies and our McDonald’s marketing clients to develop the strategy for the Monopoly promotion and any other initiatives (when required) within the Client marketing calendar each year
  • Work with GAD & Strategy on briefs to inspire the creative teams to deliver best in class work
  • Work with GAD, Planners & Partnerships Manager to deliver the prize pool each year and research & deliver both Global & Swiss brands as partners
  • Compliment strategy & tms recommendations by confidently writing presentations that sell in our work to the client

Strong Account / Project Management

  • Project owner - thrive on taking responsibility and go the extra mile to lead you’re the project and deliver value to the client, on time, to scope, to quality and within budget.
  • Clear understanding of your own role & responsibility as well as the wider tms team to ensure responsibilities are delegated appropriately
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills (both written and verbal) in English & French and / or German
  • Proactive problem solver - ability to identity and deal with all risks and issues within your projects and addressing risks before they materialise.
  • Set up and attend all meetings and build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, in particular; regular liaison with your Group Account Director as well as Game Operations & Security Team and the Digital delivery teams to ensure wider team are informed on the project status
  • Responsible for all internal, client and third-party supplier wash-ups, ensuring all learnings are cascaded to the relevant teams
  • Understand campaign results using these to shape future project recommendations

Project Financials

  • Support the GAD to define the scope of work and set up indicative budgets, liaising with agency teams and third parties for relevant quotes to obtain Client budget approval
  • Thereafter, have continuous oversight of financial management of the approved budget & billing schedule
  • Monthly financial management (raising PO’s, invoicing & billing tracker).
