McDonald’s is a global icon. A truly amazing brand recognised the world over. However, with increased competition, tough economic times and competitors copying the winning Happy Meal formula, McDonald’s now has to deliver beyond the traditional toy in a box with more exciting, innovative and inspiring activation to maintain its Family share.

There is a plethora of activity starting with the Happy Meal toy to ensure we continually engage and interact with families. We hold a top table position with the other partner agencies.

Working on the Global Family account, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most well-known licenses and brands, such as Universal, Warner Brothers, Hasbro and Pokémon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Account Executive you will be looking to develop your knowledge and experience within a buzzing and forward-thinking business. We want you to bring a positive and enthusiastic approach to the role, be prepared to challenge and ask questions, stretch the strengths you already have, learn new skills and above all be ready to have fun!

Digging deeper on the details

Client Service:

  • Develop strong relationships with clients as well as a number of other stakeholders including licensors, suppliers and partner agencies
  • Be willing to go above and beyond to ensure the best outcome for the client and agency
  • Understand the client brand and customer needs within its competitive context and use this to confidently critique and build ideas.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector, particularly kids and family

Project Management:

  • Support effective delivery of day-to-day projects, with several Happy Meal promotions in development at any one time
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects including ownership of the campaign localisation process
  • Provide regular updates to AM and wider team on work progress, bottlenecks or anticipated changes to the planned workflow
  • Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, in particular regular liaison with the Resource Management team and Creative teams
  • Strong attention to detail for proofing and reviewing creative
  • Effective project administration, including booking in meetings, managing agendas, taking minutes, managing ad hoc requests
  • Share knowledge and findings, as well as conducting competitor and market reviews

Skills and experience we would like you to have

Outside of your drive, passion, ambition and fun-loving approach to everything you do, there are some things we would like you to have:

  • Demonstratable experience gained from working in an agency environment.
  • You will be a motivated person who approaches new tasks with enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise your work to meet deadlines
  • You will have excellent attention to detail
  • You will be able to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and organised approach to busy situations with an ability to multi-task effectively
  • You will have a process driven mind-set – able to work within guidelines and to tight timelines
  • You will have excellent communication skills
