
Property Acquisition Executive
Job Description
Tesco Ireland is seeking an experienced Property Acquisition Executive to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, based in Gresham House, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire.
This is a key role within the Property function, supporting the delivery of Tesco�s nationwide expansion strategy. You will work closely with the Head of New Space and wider stakeholders to identify, appraise and secure new sites, ensuring all acquisitions align with business priorities and deliver long-term value.
- Supporting the development and delivery of Tesco�s nationwide property expansion strategy
- Identifying, appraising and negotiating new site opportunities in line with business objectives
- Managing end-to-end acquisition processes, from initial appraisal through to lease agreement
- Leading negotiations with agents, developers, landlords and solicitors to secure the best commercial outcomes
- Building and maintaining strong external relationships across the property network
- Ensuring all acquisitions meet required financial hurdle rates and are supported by robust analysis
- Preparing business cases for new opportunities for presentation to senior stakeholders
- Collaborating with Project Managers to define development specifications and support timely delivery
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of a strong new space pipeline aligned to long-term growth plans
- Minimum 5 years� experience in property acquisition or real estate
- Proven track record of successfully delivering property deals
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- In-depth knowledge of the local property market
- Solid understanding of planning processes and legal frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and investment data
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities
- Degree in Real Estate or a related field
- MSCSI / MRICS qualification desirable but not essential
- Full clean driving licence
