
Job Description
As the Product Manager for Personalised content, you will guide core Machine Learning/AI and Data Science capabilities from creation through to execution. You will focus on building data driven features at scale providing relevant and personalised content to our customers, impacting core business and customers metrics.
You will be part of the Discovery & Personalisation product team, responsible for managing the product vision, strategy and development for a suite of services (APIs) and associated customer experiences that are key to solving problems related to how Tesco customers find, discover and build their baskets, across all verticals and in all Tesco markets.
Defining and building high-scale, low latency personalisation service, including definition and tuning of algorithmic parameters to drive best customer and business outcomes
A skilled practitioner of Product Management, you will own, manage and prioritise a quantitative focused backlog to deliver meaningful improvements across a wide range of Tesco customer touchpoints, using agreed OKR’s and KPI’s for coverage, relevance and performance
Supporting the development plans: contributing towards the overall personalisation strategy, defining and prioritising business needs and working with the different business units to ensure their plans are integrated.
Work with other Product Managers, stakeholders, Data Science and the Engineering teams to deliver the personalisation roadmap using agile methodologies: prioritising requirements, answering development questions and resolving issues, always putting the customer first.
Work closely with an API engineering team to shape evolving ways of working, deliver key features and enable a high velocity of A/B tests across the content space
Highly numerate and comfortable working with data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A methodical/ analytical approach and great problem-solving skills
Great presentation and persuasion skills
Team player who could work collaboratively with other members of the team
Ownership, responsiveness and commitment towards assigned work
Strong decision making and prioritisation skills, especially when multiple trade-offs are involved
Empathy and good listening skills to understand the needs/ pain points of your customers
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, writing effective user stories & acceptance criteria
Understanding of User Research/ Design Thinking concepts
Understanding of data science concepts and Machine Learning models
