
Job Description
The role is responsible for delivering infrastructure change as part of projects and ongoing operational tasks, while providing day-to-day support for One Stop�s infrastructure environment. This includes designing and implementing new technologies, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and patched in line with security standards, and supporting cyber security requirements. The role works closely with architecture, security, internal technology teams, and third-party suppliers to deliver infrastructure solutions with minimal business impact. It also provides escalation support for critical incidents, contributes to continuous improvement, and participates in the out-of-hours infrastructure support rota.
- I deliver Infrastructure change as part of projects or other tasks as required
- I provide support for our Infrastructure
- I support the implementation of new technologies for use across One Stop.
- I work closely with the Infrastructure Solution Architect to accurately estimate, produce technical designs and deliver solutions in line with their overarching infrastructure projects.
- I ensure all work I do is fully documented on Confluence (Documentation Platform)
- I always work in a way that ensures technical delivery happens without impact to the business
- I support the Cyber Security Manager in delivery of requirements, solutions and changes in that area
- I ensure existing and new infrastructure are secure from a Cyber Security and best practices position.
- I ensure Infrastructure assets are patched in co-ordinance with One Stop Security Standards, including windows updates, Linux package updates, device firmware upgrades.
- Regularly check and respond to any critical vulnerabilities to our estate, including high CVE alerts and zero-day vulnerabilities and breaches.
- I support the administration of firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi and threat management gateways etc.
- I liaise with third party suppliers, engaging where required to deliver support, and maintenance of One Stop�s systems.
- I provide support and assistance for to our technical support team for any Business impacting and critical issues which may involve working outside of core business hours
- I deal with helpdesk calls escalated from the system support team, relating to my area of expertise.
- I work with the Technology Team to help deliver projects and improve ways of working.
- I research new technologies to see if they are fit for purpose and useful for One Stop.
- I participate in the Infrastructure Out of Hours rota.
