Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

As Senior Procurement Specialist – PMO & Special Projects within Global Marketing Procurement, you will drive the transformation toward a best-in-class, future-ready procurement organization. Acting as a trusted advisor and right hand to the Head of Global Marketing Procurement, you will lead strategic initiatives, establish robust governance, and bring structure and clarity to complex, cross-functional programs.

You will translate strategy into execution - embedding transparency, accountability, and consistency across the Marketing Procurement value chain. In parallel, you will advance digital enablement and AI readiness by shaping scalable processes, strengthening data foundations, and enabling more insight-driven decision-making.

As a central connector across Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Audit, and Digital, you will foster alignment, enable collaboration, and drive measurable business impact - empowering the organization to operate with greater efficiency, compliance, and strategic focus.

What you'll do

  • Lead PMO governance and portfolio execution for Marketing Procurement, ensuring strategic alignment, clear prioritization, and measurable business outcomes
  • Drive high-impact programs and special projects (e.g., compliance, audit, workforce, policy frameworks) that drive transformation and operational excellence
  • Evolve the operating model and governance structures while facilitating change management and adoption across global teams
  • Build functional capabilities and enablement, promoting best practices and strategic excellence
  • Connect and align senior stakeholders across Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Audit, and Digital to ensure coordinated delivery
  • Deliver concise, high-impact documentation and executive presentations to support informed decision-making
  • Accelerate digital and AI readiness by embedding data-driven processes, automation, and insight-led decision support
  • Embed ESG and sustainability principles in marketing sourcing initiatives (e.g., sustainable events, supplier transparency, carbon reduction).
  • Ensure robust risk management, audit readiness, and compliance across all initiatives

What you bring

Required experience & qualifications

  • 8+ years in Procurement and/or Program/Project Management within global, complex organizations, with expertise in governance, compliance, risk management, and audit readiness
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and PMO best practices
  • Strong experience in Marketing Procurement, with a solid understanding of marketing practices, agency operating models, and core marketing categories (paid media, creative services, direct & digital marketing, events)
  • Proven track record of leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational transformation, including change management and adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, enabling alignment and impact across senior leaders in Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Audit, and Digital
  • Experience in supplier and agency relationship management, including performance management, contracting, and collaboration on transformational initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, delivering measurable outcomes, cost savings, and business value
  • Digital and analytical expertise, including Power BI, Power Apps, and experience leveraging data-driven and AI-enabled processes
  • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to simplify complexity, communicate clearly, and produce executive-level documentation and presentations
  • Business Consulting experience is a plus
