Join us as we harness cutting-edge technologies and unlock opportunities on a global scale. Together, let's sail towards a brighter, more sustainable future with Maersk.

What We Can Offer

At Maersk, we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and able to be themselves. Our team members come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we value the unique strengths each person contributes.

  • A high‑impact leadership role shaping procurement strategy across multi‑carrier operations, U.S. Government cargo, and compliance‑critical supply chains
  • The opportunity to influence cost leadership, service performance, safety, and ESG compliance
  • Close collaboration with Product, Operations, Commercial, Legal, HSSE, and Maersk Line Limited on complex, regulated logistics solutions
  • A role that combines strategic sourcing, operational understanding, and people leadership within a transforming organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the procurement strategy to support profitable growth, service excellence, and regulatory compliance across multi‑carrier operations
  • Lead procurement initiatives focused on cost optimization, service quality, safety performance, and scalability
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including owner‑operators, independent contractors, and asset‑based carriers
  • Own and deliver the annual Procurement Gameplan, tracking value realization and measurable P&L impact
  • Partner closely with Product and Commercial teams to forecast demand, assess capacity needs, and guide sourcing decisions
  • Lead complex negotiations, contract management, and Service Level Agreements to drive vendor performance
  • Oversee RFPs and end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Contract activities across assigned categories and geographies
  • Strengthen should‑cost and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling capabilities to support data‑driven decision‑making
  • Ensure adherence to Maersk’s Supplier Code of Conduct, ESG standards, and all applicable Government and compliance requirements
  • Lead, develop, and engage a team of procurement professionals while fostering collaboration and operational excellence

What We Are Looking For

  • Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day
  • Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management within transportation or supply chain environments
  • Strong understanding of U.S. transportation operations, including multi‑carrier and first‑mile logistics models
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including Commercial, Operations, Legal, and Government‑related entities
  • Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen, with experience driving cost, margin, and value realization outcomes
  • Data‑savvy and analytical, with comfort using modeling, market intelligence, and technology to inform decisions
  • Confident people leader with experience building engaged, capable teams in fast‑paced environments
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or supply chain/project management certifications are advantageous

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary Range: $110,000- $130,000 USD*

  • Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.
