Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

Join Us in Shaping the Future of Customer Data

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic Customer Data Platform team, a core part of SAP’s Business Data Cloud. In this role, you’ll be more than just a developer — you’ll be a key technical leader helping to shape architecture, guide best practices, and mentor engineers across the stack. Your impact will directly influence the robustness, scalability, and innovation of our enterprise-grade platform.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Full Stack Development: Design, implement, and deploy complex features across our tech stack — from backend services (Java, Node.js, or Python) to modern frontend applications (React, UI5, etc.).

  • Set Technical Direction: Influence architectural decisions and ensure we’re building scalable, high-performing, and secure solutions.

  • Mentor & Empower Others: Support the growth of mid- and junior-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and ongoing guidance.

  • Ensure Quality at Scale: Advocate for clean code, robust testing, performance optimization, and long-term maintainability.

  • Solve Complex Problems: Break down abstract or ambiguous technical challenges and help the team navigate toward smart, efficient solutions.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering Leads to deliver thoughtful, user-centric solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Experience: Significant hands-on experience in full stack development with a strong portfolio of backend and frontend work.

  • Technical Depth: Proficiency in backend technologies like Java, Node.js, or Python; strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+) and at least one frontend framework (React, UI5, Angular, etc.).

  • Architectural Vision: Understanding of microservices, scalable architectures, and software design principles.

  • Mentorship Mindset: Passion for knowledge sharing and the ability to provide supportive, constructive feedback to teammates.

  • Strong Communication: Comfortable working in English (written and spoken) in a global, cross-functional team environment.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

  • DevOps Familiarity: Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Pipeline DSL, etc.

  • Cloud Experience: Prior work deploying applications on AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms.

  • Database Proficiency: Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change and quickly picking up new technologies as needed.

Why SAP?
